On the Road Again

And this time I might be able to avenge my failure to execute while in NY State last time. No smileys yet for me in that state.

This is just a distance padding run, though. I’ll be working 12-hour days, venture out for a walk and a signature, then fly back home to San Diego for a quick local find on Friday while I have the chance…followed by a departure to South Carolina Saturday for more caching, golfing, and general mayhem with the kids. I’m gonna rack up about 10,000 miles in just 2 weeks.

Crazy stuff. But I will be blogging on vacation, so stay tuned. I think it might be time to trot out some good how-to material to prep for summer.

Wow, easy to add the miles at 2,400 a pop (2,427.8mi from home coordinates, apparently). Yes, I am a mileage whore.

I did a big road trip last summer. The deal was that I get to find 1 cache per state. I missed NE and WI by 20 miles or so, but I drove through MO 4 times and each time was at night. The cards never worked in my favor. I guess some states are just not meant to be. I added the worldwide map to my profile. I’m looking like a real cacher now.

And I AM FREAKING JEALOUS! I was scheduled to hit Hong Kong at the beginning of March but weather kept my plane on the ground. Sucks. I should make it to EU sometime this year so I have my hopes up.

    Lucky duck.

Oh, yeah- I lied. I never did blog on vacation. Too bad I was relaxing so hard.
